Open a new transparent image 1000 x 600
*
Pick from your tube a dark color as foregroundcolor and a bright color as backgroundcolor
*
Flood fill the layer with this gradient

Deformtool (D) place the cursor on the middle node on the right  and push the layer to the left until 20 pixel

Layers - duplicate
*
Image - resize - 80% - uncheck all layers
*
Layers - merge - merge down
*
Your image now looks like this
